Third Grade

Sugar Skull Drawings

Third grade students looked at images of colorful, fun Mexican sugar skulls.  They discussed the symmetry that is present in most designs, and the use of beautiful colors.  Students were disappointed to learn that we would not be making candy in the art room. Instead, we made drawings of symmetrical sugar skulls.  Students used oil pastels, colored pencils and color sticks to create these drawings.
